Yishu is a master’s student in the Biomedical Engineering program at Brown University. He joined the BrainGate team in 2024 and has been working on the development of stable long-term iBCI decoders for restoring communication with minimum recalibration.
Yishu graduated from the Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzhen, China and worked in the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he investigated brain connectivity during visual processes in humans. Yishu is interested in developing iBCI decoding algorithms for the restoration of human functions.
